What's going on in your Marvel Universe?

As some of you may know, or none of you may know, the Marvel universe for years has been a dark place due to Avengers Disassembled, Civil War, Secret Invasion, and finally Dark Reign. In Disassembled, the Avengers disbanded after the death of Hawkeye and Ant-Man (Scott Lang). In the Civil War, Iron Man and Captain America faced off over the Superhuman Registration Act in a war that pitted brother against brother, with Iron Man ultimately winning out after Captain America was gunned down before testifying in front of the nation and congress. In Secret Invasion, an alien invasion by the Skrulls nearly succeeded due to their successful infiltration and impersonation of Superheroes that they had replaced in their plan, but ultimately mankind and the heroes won out. Dark Reign is the past years theme for the Marvel Universe. Norman Osborn, Spiderman's arch nemesis became the default leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. after he got the kill shot on the Skrull Queen. He changed the name of S.H.I.E.L.D. to H.A.M.M.E.R. and began to hunt down all the unregistered heroes, such as the New Avengers lead by Bucky Barnes (Captain America's WW2 sidekick), and Osborn also hunted down Tony Stark and beat him senseless, essentially putting him in a coma. What is happening now is Norman Osborn and his 'Dark Avengers' and H.A.M.M.E.R. are attacking Asgard, the mythical home of Thor and his fellow Asgardians, which is located in Broxton, Oklahoma. All out chaos ensues, with Asgard being assaulted by H.A.M.M.E.R. and Osborn's personal shock troops, the Dark Avengers. The Heros come to Asgards and Thors aid, and the battle of the century ensues. And thats what happening in your Marvel Universe.

SIEGE!!!!!!

Siege is the Big 4 Part Marvel Event hitting on January 10. Why is it any more different than any recent Marvel event like Civil War or Secret Invasion. While those storylines were about taking apart the Marvel Universe, Siege promises to bring the return of the Holy Trinity of the Marvel Universe- Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America. While not much information is available, it is known that Steve Rogers is Captain America. Also known is that Asgard is what will be under assault by H.A.M.M.E.R. and Norman Osborn aka Iron Patriot. Interesting to note would be that Iron Man and Thor are not on good terms at the moment, as Iron Man used a clone of Thor in Civil War. All I can say is that this is the rebirth of the big three, and I can only imagine what is coming up soon afterwards. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!!

Captain America: Reborn #3 Review

This week was the much anticipated release of Captain America: Reborn #3. This is one hell of an issue folks. It starts off with Captain America frozen in ice, seeing himself relive his past, frenetically jumping from one point in his life to another. He sees himself frozen, then suddenly finds himself fighting in outer space during the Kree-Skrull War. As in previous issues, he knows what is going to happen, and is only helpless to watch. It would appear that Steve Rogers is truly a man out of time, and some very bad people are trying to use Steve Rogers. Unfortunately, those people are the Red Skull and Norman Osborn, who are now working together.
However, even though Cap is technically dead, he is not without people trying to save him. Reed Richards, Henry Pym, and Namor are trying to find him, a man lost in time. I would go in to more details, but I highly suggest you pick up previous issues so as not to get lost. All in all, this was the best issue this week, if not month, beating out Blackest Night #3 for best title this week. See ya next week.
